The operation was led by the last commander of the limited contingent, Lieutenant General <strong>Boris Gromov<\/strong>. Soviet troops have been on the territory of this country since December 25, 1979 and acted on the side of the government of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>This war in a country far from Belarus affected many of our compatriots, their families, relatives, friends and comrades.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, on this memorable day, those who went through this war gather. Participants of the events remember those who died in that war, pay tribute to the living and families of soldiers-internationalists.<\/p>\n<p>On February 15, 2023, employees of the institution <strong>\u00abBelarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents\u00bb<\/strong> (hereinafter &#8211; BGAKFFD) represented by Deputy Director for Ideological Work <strong>Grinevich E.M.<\/strong>, Secretary of the primary organization of the public association <strong>\u00abBelarusian Republican Youth Union\u00bb<\/strong> BGAKFFD and a member of the Youth Parliament under the Dzerzhinsky District Council deputies <strong>Mesha S.V.<\/strong>, member of the primary organization of the public association \u00abBelarusian Republican Youth Union\u00bb BGAKFFD <strong>Korotkov E.V.<\/strong>, chairman of the trade union committee <strong>Kot A.K.<\/strong> visited the monument to soldiers-internationalists in Dzerzhinsk and laid flowers at the monument.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/1..jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" id=\"media-1038576\" class=\"wp-image-1038576 alignnone size-full\" width=\"80%\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/2..jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" id=\"media-1038577\" class=\"wp-image-1038577 alignnone size-medium\" width=\"80%\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/3..jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" id=\"media-1038578\" class=\"wp-image-1038578 alignnone size-medium\" width=\"80%\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/4..jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" id=\"media-1038579\" class=\"wp-image-1038579 alignnone size-medium\" width=\"80%\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On February 15, 1989, the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan began.
