With a lecture on the topic \u00abPriorities and main achievements of Belarusian science. Scientific and Technological Security\u00bb<\/strong> Sergey Shuba<\/strong>, Head of the Department of International Scientific, Practical and Innovation Policy of the State Committee for Science and Technology (SCST), spoke to the archive staff. In his speech, Shuba S.V. noted that by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated On May 7, 2020, No. 156 approved the unified priority areas of scientific, scientific, technical and innovative activities for 2021\u20132025:<\/p>\n

digital information and communication and interdisciplinary technologies, production based on them;<\/p>\n

biological, medical, pharmaceutical and chemical technologies and production;<\/p>\n

energy, construction, ecology and rational use of natural resources;<\/p>\n

mechanical engineering, machine-building technologies, instrumentation and innovative materials;<\/p>\n

agro-industrial and food technologies;<\/p>\n

ensuring the security of man, society and the state.<\/p>\n

According to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, within the framework of scientific and technical programs and state programs, by the beginning of 2022, 430 innovations have been developed and brought to the stage of practical application, including 51 items of equipment (machines, devices), 25 new materials and substances, 37 technologies, 317 names of medicines, methods and other scientific and technical products. 5 new productions were created and 6 existing productions were modernized, technical preparation of 36 productions was carried out.<\/p>\n

The lecturer noted innovations in medicine. Belarus is among the world leaders in the field of transplantology. The scientific approaches implemented in the domestic healthcare undoubtedly affect the demographic security of the state.<\/p>\n

Based on new, mainly domestic scientific technologies, the problem of food security has been solved in the country. Belarus has become not only self-sufficient in this regard, but also an export-oriented country. This was achieved thanks to a significant renewal of the material and technical base, the transition to modern production technologies and the use of the latest scientific and technical developments.<\/p>\n

Belarus continues comprehensive work on the creation of electric and unmanned vehicles based on the introduction of modern developments in the field of microelectronics, instrumentation and information technology.<\/p>\n

Shuba S.V. noted domestic IT innovations that are being implemented in the areas of healthcare, education, transport and logistics, industry, environmental protection, biotechnology, construction and many others.<\/p>\n

The lecture aroused interest among the archive workers. Shuba S.V. answered archivists’ questions.<\/p>\n

On the same day, a tour of the National Archives was organized for an employee of the State Committee for Science and Technology, during which Shuba S.V. visited one of the archives and got acquainted with the work of archivists.<\/p>\n
