The event was co-organized by <strong>the Belarusian Society of Archivists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In his welcoming speech, NARB Director <strong>A.K. Demyanuk<\/strong> noted the role of V.V. Skalaban in the identification and introduction of new sources into scientific circulation. Deputy Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus <strong>A.E. Tsvetkov<\/strong> emphasized the contribution of the NARB to interaction with historians, the preservation and use of archival sources, as well as the importance of holding the 1st Skalaban Readings in the Year of Historical Memory. The Head of the Department of Ideological Support of the Department of Personnel Policy and Ideological Support of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus <strong>M.N. Skomoroshchenko<\/strong> in his speech recalled his acquaintance with Vitaly Vladimirovich, noted the versatility of his person. Also, Mikhail Nikolayevich, on behalf of the Belarusian Society of Archivists, announced the establishment of the V.V. Skalaban Prize for the exhibition and publication activities of archival institutions.<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, NARB Deputy Director <strong>E.V.
