The round table was co-organized by <strong>the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the History Faculty of the Belarusian State University<\/strong>, and <strong>the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (Department).<\/p>\n<p>The scholarly forum was attended by the heads and employees of state archival institutions, students and teachers of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University, representatives of institutions of general secondary education. <\/p>\n<p>The round table focused on expanding cooperation between archival and educational institutions in terms of improving methodological and practical activities of involving documentary materials in the educational and upbringing processes.<\/p>\n<p>The participants were addressed by <strong>V. I. Kurash<\/strong>, Director of the Department; <strong>A. G. Kokhanovsky<\/strong>, Dean of the History Faculty of Belarusian State University; <strong>S. N. Khodin<\/strong>, Head of the Source Studies Department of the History Faculty of Belarusian State University; <strong>D. V. Yatsevich<\/strong>, Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of the Department emphasized that today the state archives in Belarus pay special attention to informational and educational work with youth, participation in patriotic education of the younger generation.<\/p>\n<p>V. I. Kurash noted that in 2022 the Department conducted work on expanding the use of archival Internet projects in educational processes, following which the specialists of the Ministry of Education prepared relevant methodological recommendations and sent them to the main departments of education of regional executive committees, the Committee on Education of the Minsk City Executive Committee, as well as posted them on the National Educational Portal for public access.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The Director of the Department also drew attention that in the Year of Historical Memory and the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian Archival Service, a national campaign &#8220;Archives for School&#8221; was launched, which implies regular informational and educational events for students held by archivists. These events are organized both in archives (through exhibitions, guided tours, practical classes) and in educational institutions (lectures, seminars, open classes).
