On March 15, 2022, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus hosted a meeting of the State Secretary of the Union State D. F. Mezentsev<\/strong>, Head of the Representative Office of the Permanent Committee of the Union State in Minsk M. A. Shchetkina<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Social Policy and Information Support of the Permanent Committee the Union State O. L. Slizhevsky<\/strong>, Head of the Russian Federal Archival Agency A. N. Artizov<\/strong> with the Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus V. I. Kurash<\/strong> and Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus A. K. Demyanyuk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The meeting focused on the topics of the Belarusian-Russian collections of archival documents prepared as part of the “Library of the Union State” series. The following issues were supported: the drafts of the documentary editions on the events of the War of 1812 on the territory of Belarus, reunification of Western Belarus and the Belarusian SSR in 1939, Nazi punitive operations in the Belarusian-Russian borderland in 1941-1944, formation and functioning of the \u201cSurazh Gate\u201d, participation of the citizens of Russia and Belarus in the economic development of the Belarusian-Russian regions.<\/p>\n

In preparing the information, materials from the information and analytical portal of the Union State<\/a> and the Internet portal “SB Belarus Today”<\/a> were used.<\/p>\n
