On 22 March 2022 the Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Studies (BelNIIDAD)<\/strong> holds a webinar “Creation and Formation of an Organization’s Archive”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The webinar will discuss the following topics<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

1. Legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of archives and state control over its observance. Administrative and criminal responsibility.<\/p>\n

2. The procedure for creating an archive, the organization of its work. <\/p>\n

2.1. Types, objectives and functions of archives. <\/p>\n

2.2. The procedure for developing a regulation on the archive, job descriptions, other local legal acts. <\/p>\n

3. The file plan as a fundamental document for organizing the archive\u2019s work. <\/p>\n

3.1. The procedure for developing the file plan in the organization. <\/p>\n

3.2. Participation of the organization\u2019s archive in the compilation and coordination of file plans. <\/p>\n

4. Determination of records retention periods. <\/p>\n

4.1. Appraisal of records in the organization\u2019s office work and archive. <\/p>\n

4.2. Records retention schedules (standard and agency schedules, schedules of non-governmental organizations, schedules of scientific, technical and other special documentation). Peculiarities of use of schedules in various organizations. <\/p>\n

4.3. Records retention periods. Peculiarities of calculating retention periods for records subject to inspection by tax authorities. <\/p>\n

5. Transfer of records for preservation in the organization’s archive. Destruction of records and files with expired retention periods. <\/p>\n

5.1 Requirements for the formation and execution of files in preparation for transfer to the archive. <\/p>\n

5.2 Formation of file inventories when transferring records to the organization\u2019s archive. Formation of consolidated file inventories in the organization’s archive. <\/p>\n

5.3 Procedure for destruction of records and files with expired retention periods. Certificate of destruction. <\/p>\n

6. Electronic records: appraisal, retention periods and transfer to the archive.<\/p>\n
