The Consultative Council of Heads of State Archival Services of the CIS Member States was established by the Decision of the CIS Economic Council on behalf of the CIS Council of Heads of Government on December 3, 2004 &#8220;On the Creation of the Consultative Council of Heads of State Archival Services of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.&#8221; The Council is a body for CIS sectoral cooperation and was established to jointly consider topical issues of archival affairs and develop mechanisms for their solution.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Republic of Belarus is chairing the Consultative Council in 2021<\/strong>. The Archival Service of Belarus was represented by <strong>Viktor Kurash<\/strong>, Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n<p>The videoconference was also attended by the heads and staff of the state archival services of Azerbaijan (A. A. Rasulov), Armenia (G. M. Arshakyan), Kazakhstan (K. K. Borashev), Kyrgyzstan (M. A. Alybaeva), Russia (A. V. Yurasov), Tajikistan (D. S. Langari), Uzbekistan (U. M. Yusupov), representative of the CIS Executive Committee (M. A. Kulagina) and invited persons &#8211; First Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the CIS Statutory and Other Bodies A. V. Andreev, Dean of the History Faculty of the Belarusian State University A. G. Kokhanovsky.<\/p>\n<p>The session summed up the activities of archival services in CIS member states in 2021, analyzed the experience of cooperation of archival services with educational<\/p>\n<p>institutions in training specialists in archives and records management, discussed other important issues of cooperation of CIS member states in the field of archive business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The election of the Chairman of the Consultative Council<\/strong> for the next period was also held. The Chairman of the Committee on Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, <strong>K. K.
