The Participants of the Partisan Movement \u2013 Leaders of the BSSR and the USSR \r\nin the 1950s\u20131970s Project is a special rubric on the Archives of Belarus website, an \r\ninternet resource of the archives and RM authorities and the state archives \r\nnetwork in the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\r\n
Purposes<\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n
On the basis of documentary sources the Project aims to expand information available on the internet about the participants of the partisan movement in Belarus in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, who held key positions in the partisan movement and resistance activities and in the postwar period became leaders of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic and the Soviet Union (M.V. Zimyanin, V.I. Kozlov, V.Z. Korzh, V.E. Lobanok, K.T. Mazurov, P.M. Masherov, I.E. Polyakov, P.K. Ponomarenko, S.O. Pritytsky, F.A. Surganov).<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Structure of the project<\/b><\/p>\r\n
The online exhibition shows over 400 records and materials (their electronic copies) available \r\nfrom the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art, the Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Recordings, \r\nthe National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, and the Belarusian Research Center for \r\nElectronic Records. <\/p>\r\n
The exhibition is structured in two levels:

\r\n– List of records, including their title, date, type, language and location \r\nindex. On the right are the links to view a full-size record. The records are \r\narranged mainly in chronological order.
\r\n
\r\n– Electronic copies of records. <\/p>\r\n
The exposition consists of 10 thematic sections, which provide biographical \r\ndata and information on the combat, economic and social activities of the \r\nabove listed persons.\u00a0 <\/p>\r\n
More than a half of the exposition are photographs. On display are also over \r\n50 audio- and video recordings (fragments from radio programs and documentary \r\nfilms). The rest of the exhibition are handwritten documents, typescripts and \r\nprints (in full text or fragments). There are many \r\nautographs. The documents are in Russian and Belarusian languages. <\/p>\r\n
The offered material is not exhaustive and further research is possible on \r\nthe subject to expand the online exhibition, in particular with the electronic copies of \r\ndocuments available from the personal collections. <\/p>\r\n
