There are many fonds of\r\nvarious enterprises and institutions in the field of industry, agriculture, forestry,\r\nconstruction, transportation, the press, publishing, radio and television broadcast, and\r\nmore. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In 1996 the Archives acquired over 600 000 files from the former archives of the Minsk\r\nRegion Communist Party Committee, previously held at the National Archives of the Republic\r\nof Belarus. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The fonds of the German Occupation (February &#8211; December 1918) and Polish Occupation\r\n(July 1919 &#8211; July 1920) throw light on the economic and penal policy of the\r\ninterventionists. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The Archives contains the fonds of various social organizations (trade unions, the Red\r\nCross Regional Committee in Minsk, the Minsk Regional Council, and more) and various\r\ninstitutions dealing with the affairs of religious confessions (the Minsk Region\r\nPlenipotentiary of the Council for Religious Affairs at the USSR Council of Ministers, the\r\nMinsk Region Plenipotentiary of the Council for Religious Affairs at the BSSR Council of\r\nMinisters, and more). <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The valuable source for research into the period of the Nazi occupation in the region\r\nare the declassified records concerned with the mass extermination of Minsk Jews on 7-8\r\nDecember, 1941 and the annihilation of psychiatric patients in December 1941; lists of\r\nburned villages; instructions and appeals of the German command for strict measures\r\nagainst Partisans and Resistance members. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Records of Nazi crime in the Minsk region are represented by the collection of positive\r\nprints of the Extraordinary State Commission for Investigation of Nazi Crime and Estimate\r\nof Nazi Damage. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The Archives also contains a number of collections that include records from various\r\nsmall-size fonds of local authorities and private institutions and enterprises. <\/p>\r\n\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Contacts Historical background Finding aids Description of holdings Amount of holdings: 5,947 funds, 14 collections, 1,487,052 storage units (in the state complex, total in storage: 3,121 funds, 835,471 storage units,&#8230;","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":163830,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-834931","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/834931"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=834931"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/834931\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1022706,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/834931\/revisions\/1022706"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/163830"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=834931"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
