Historical background"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"submenu\">\r\n<a href=\"\/en\/?page_id=966492\">Contacts<\/a><br>\r\n<a href=\"\/en\/?page_id=299814\">Description of holdings<\/a><br>\r\n<a href=\"\/en\/?page_id=647339\">Finding aids<\/a>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<h2>Historical background<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<p>The Archives was founded in September 1947 as the Party Archives at the Grodno Region\r\nCommunist Party Committee. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>From August 1991 to January 1992 the Archives did not function according to Resoulution\r\nof the Supreme Council of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic &#8220;On temporary\r\ninterruption of activities of the Communist Party of Belarus and the Communist Party of\r\nthe Soviet Union on the territory of Belarus&#8221;.\u00a0 <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In February 1992, the Archives resumed its work as the division of public organizations\r\nat the State Archives of Grodno Region. <br>\r\n<br>\r\nOn June 15, 1992 it was reorganized as the Branch of the State Archives of Grodno Region\r\nin Grodno. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>On November 26, 1996 it received its present name of the State Archives of Public\r\nOrganizations of Grodno Region.<br>\r\n<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Contacts Description of holdings Finding aids Historical background The Archives was founded in September 1947 as the Party Archives at the Grodno Region Communist Party Committee.
