  • Braslav, Glubokoe, Dokshitsy, Miory, Postavy and Sharkovshchina districts of the Vitebsk\r\n region <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n

    The main bulk of the archive’s holdings are the documents created by the district and\r\ntown deputies’ councils and their divisions, various inspections, village councils,\r\ncollective and state farms, records of courts, prosecutor’s, labour organizations,\r\nstatistical institutions, industrial and educational agencies. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

    Records of the district executive committees and village councils contain documents on\r\nthe economic damage attributable to the Nazi occupation in WWII and the postwar\r\nrestoration of national economics; materials concerning the developments in industry,\r\ntransportation, communication, agriculture, construction, trade, catering, and consumer\r\nservices. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

    Records of agricultural and forestry institutions throw light on the collectivization\r\nof agriculture and the organization of state farms, agricultural artels and communes, and\r\nmachine-&-tractor stations; these contain data on land nationalization, land tenure,\r\nforest management and timber purchasing, and more. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

    The fonds of courts, prosecutor’s and notary offices contain courts decisions in civil\r\nand criminal cases, agreements of sale, gift and building, etc. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

    The fonds of educational agencies and institutions, health institutions, and the\r\nculture divisions at the district executive committees illuminate the issues of public\r\neducation, culture, health care, and sports. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

    The archive contains documents of personal origin of honored people: Heroes of Socialist Labor Klimenka M.A., Pugovko L.K.; Honored Teachers of the BSSR Bolshakova N.P., Dyagileva E.M., Eromenok N.I., Kramich N.P., Pavlovich A.U.; teacher of the Mamay seven-year school, local historian A.A.
