These documents reflect the\r\nactivities of the Party organizations in the sphere of Party and ideological work, as well\r\nas their control over the economic and social developments in the region. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The fonds of the uezd (district) Party committees (1918-1935) contain data on the\r\nstruggle of the Belarusian people against the Polish invasion, the assistance to the front\r\nand the families of Red Army soldiers, the activities of the revolutionary committees, and\r\nthe struggle against banditry. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>There are many documents that illustrate the work among women, peasants and national\r\nminorities in the pre-war period  (1920-1935), and throw light on the process of the\r\ncollectivization, the establishment of collective farms, the development of Stakhanov&#8217;s\r\nShock-Worker Movement and the socialist competition, as well as various cultural and\r\neducational activities. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The documentary materials of the Party regional and district committees contain data on\r\nthe current state and restoration of the economics after the Nazi occupation, materials\r\nconcerning the commemoration of the people&#8217;s deeds in the Second World War, documents\r\nconcerning the agitation-propaganda activities and economic campaigns, data on the\r\ndevelopments in industry, transportation and agriculture, surveys and reports on health\r\ncare, public education, and the work of various social organizations and charitable\r\nsocieties.  <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The documents of the Komsomol fonds contain data on the labour, military, patriotic and\r\nphysical education, as well as the development of scientific and technical creativity\r\namong the young people. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The Archives holds memories left by the participants of the October Revolution of 1917,\r\nthe Civil War, the defence of Mogilev in summer 1941, the patriotic underground\r\norganization in the Mogilev region in the Second World War, documents written by the\r\nwriter M. Lynkov when he worked for the &#8220;Communist&#8221; newspaper in the town of\r\nBobruisk in 1930.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>There are documents of various social organizations that operated in the Mogilev region\r\nfrom 1990 to 2002: veterans, women&#8217;s, youth, children&#8217;s, charity, religious and political\r\nparties. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The Archives keeps personal fonds relating to N. Ia. Velikanov, the collector of\r\nbookstamps; M. P. Bulavatski, lecturer at the Kuleshov Teachers College in Mogilev; I.
