Workshop on Documentation and Archives Administration in Public Organizations held by the State Archives of Public Organizations of Mogilev Region, 17 August 2010

17 August 2010, the State Archives of Public Organizations of Mogilev Region together with the Mogilev Regional Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union held a Workshop on Documentation and Archives Administration in Public Organizations.

The participants were executive officers, chief specialists and accountants in public organizations, members of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the Mogilev Council of the Belarusian Public Association of War Veterans, and the National Olympic Committee in the Mogilev Region.

The report “Basics of the Documentation of Government Activities” by the Archive’s Director E.V. Pekarskaya outlined the requirements to records attributes and blank forms according to the STB 6.38-2004 Standard “Unified Documentation Systems in the Republic of Belarus. The System of Organizational-Administrative Records. Requirements to Records”.

The report “Execution of Certain Types of Records” detailed the process of creation of the records most often used in the administration of public organizations – general orders, minutes, personnel orders.

The leading archivist L.E. Plindova outlined the issues of file organization and the creation of file lists for permanent and personnel records.

The workshop discussions were accompanied by multimedia presentations provided to the participants on an electronic disc.
