The Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Studies holds a workshop Records Management Without Mistakes

On 20 April 2017 the Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Studies (BelNIIDAD) holds a workshop Records Management Without Mistakes.

The workshop will examine the following issues:

1. Legislation in records management and archive business in the Republic of Belarus and responsibility for its violation.

2. Rules for preparation of records in accordance with the Instruction for Records Management in Government Agencies and Other Institutions (Resolution by the Justice Ministry of the Republic of Belarus No. 4 of 19.01.2009). The unified system of organizational and administrative records.
….2.1. Record attributes, forms, corner stamps, records bearing the seal of the institution.
….2.2. Requirements to texts.
….2.3. Specifics of preparation and execution of individual types of records (orders, directives, instructions, resolutions, minutes, memoranda, certificates, letters).
….2.4. Rules for creation and certification of copies (resolutions by the Council of Ministers No. 1256 of 30.12.2012, by the Ministry of Justice No. 9 of 15.01.2013).

3. Recordkeeping.
….3.1. Circulation of records in an institution. Receipt, registration and execution of incoming records. Registration, transit and dispatch of internal records.
….3.2. Records tracking.
….3.3. Creation, confirmation, organization and use of file classification plans in an institution.
….3.4. Filing and preparation of files for preservation.

4. Archival aspects in recordkeeping.
….4.1. Appraisal of records in recordkeeping. Procedures for conducting an appraisal. Expert commission Records retention schedules.
….4.2. Requirements to transfer of records to an institutional archive for preservation. Destruction of records.

5. Specifics of work with electronic records. Electronic recordkeeping.

The workshop is conducted by BelNIIDAD Director A. Rybakov and expert-consultant E. Davydova, authors of normative regulations, teaching aids and procedural guides in records management and archive business.
