The website of the Central State Scientific and Technical Archives of Ukraine (TsDANTD) has opened a virtual exhibition “Ukraine-related records in the Belarusian BGANTD Archive and Belarus-related records in the Ukrainian TsDANTD Archive”.
The Belarusian State Archives of Scientific and Technical Information (BGANTD) preserves retrospective information on the history of science, technology and culture. As on 1 January 2018 the Archives holds 303 fonds of 197 626 storage units for the period of 1748-2017 (131 293 scientific and technical files; 59 868 administrative files; 6 465 personal files, including 2 835 most valuable items). The major part of the archives relate to the history of science, architecture and culture of the Republic of Belarus, as well as foreign countries (Armenia, Hungary, Germany, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Romania, France, Uzbekistan, Estonia). In all, BGANTD has records related to more than 25 countries. Records related to the history of Ukraine occupy the second place in the total volume of foreign documents.
The Central State Scientific and Technical Archives of Ukraine (TsDANTD) preserves documentation of the leading research, technical and design institutions. For almost 50 years the Archives has accumulated 252 archival fonds of about 600 000 storage items for the period of 1891-2016. The Archives holds records on the history of industry and architecture related to 26 countries, including Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Egypt, India, Iraq, Moldova, Russia, Hungary etc.
