BGAMLI holds an exhibition dedicated to 100th anniversary of the declaration of the Belarusian National Republic
On 30 March 2018 the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art (BGAMLI) opened an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the declaration of the Belarusian National Republic.
The exposition features documents of the Belarusian national leaders involved in the creation of the Belarusian National Republic (BNR). The exhibits include the map of the Belarusian National Republic, the constituent charter of the BNR Council (Rada), poems by Yazep Varonko, graphics by Lyavon Dubeikauski (including his sketches of the BNR state awards), memoirs by Klaudzi Duzh-Dusheuski about Vatslau Lastouski, articles and stories by Yazep Varonko, autographs of Anton and Ivan Lutskevich, a post card with a poetic song by Paulina Myadzyolka, papers of Paluta Badunova and Zoska Veras. The exposition shows copies of rare editions of the first third of the 20th century, to which BNR founders and leaders contributed their works: newspapers “Nasha Dolya”, “Nasha Niva”, “Volnaya Belarus”, magazines “Varta”, Belaruski stsyag”,, “Kryvich”, “Sakha”, grammar textbooks by Ya. Lyosik, “A history of Belarusian book” by V. Lastouski, “The botanic dictionary” by Z. Veras etc.
