The Belarusian Film and Photo Archives together with the Yanka Kupala Central Library open an exhibition of documents to mark the 950th anniversary of Minsk City

The Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Records (BGAKFFD) together with the Yanka Kupala Central Library have prepared and opened a photo exhibition of documents to mark the 950th anniversary of Minsk City “Minsk. The early 1950s. Author of photographs Yafim Liushyts”.

The welcome word was given by Director of the Yanka Kupala Central Library Ms. Elena Kubyshkina and BGAKFFD Director Mr. Victor Balandin.

The archive staff have prepared a stand presenting documents and exhibits from the 1950s. The event included the demonstration of two documentary films from 1951 and 1954. The guests and organizers could listen to “Songs about Minsk” performed by A. Podgaisky accompanied by the Variety Orchestra of the Belarusian Radio and Television directed by B. Raisky, etc.
