A republic-level workshop on the Operation of the System of Open Access to Records of the National Archival Holdings

The Department for Archives and Records Management of the RB Justice Ministry (Department) together with the Belarusian Research Center of Electronic Records (BelNITsED) held a republic-level workshop on the Operation of the System of Open Access to Records of the National Archival Holdings (NAF SODD).

The workshop brought together representatives of central, regional and local state archives from all six regions in Belarus and the city of Minsk – managers and specialists in archival institutions in charge of filling the NAF SODD system with archival information. In all, 50 people took part in the workshop.

The Department Director Victor Kourash delivered a welcome speech to emphasize the importance of the workshop issues and the digital transformation of the archives for future successful development of the archive business.

The reports were delivered by members of the Department, BelNITsED, the National Archives, the State Archives of Vitebsk Region etc.

The archive specialists discussed the NAF SODD system conditions, organizational support, problems, performance capabilities and further informational content.
