A professional meeting of the heads of archival services and state archival institutions of Russia and Belarus held in Bryansk, Russia

A professional meeting of the heads of archival services and state archival institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus took place on 9 November 2016 in Bryansk, Russia.

The topic of the meeting – «The issues of records acquisition at the state archives».

Acting Governor of Bryansk Region, A.G. Rezunov took part at the event. The delegation of Russian archivists was headed by Director of the Federal Archival Agency A. N. Artizov. The delegation of Belarusian archivists was headed by Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry V.I. Adamushko. The delegations included staff members of the Federal Archival Agency and the Department for Archives and Records Management, directors of state archival institutions of Russia and Belarus.

The participants discussed the joint issues of the acquisition of archival material by the state archives, including personal papers. They also discussed the issues of work with the non-government organizations.

The next meeting of archivists of the two countries will take place in 2017 in Belarus.
