Presentation of books published by the State Archives of Minsk Region in 2015

On 25 November 2015 the Central Academic Yakub Kolas Library hosted a presentation of books released by the State Archives of Minsk Region in 2015: a collection of documents and materials “The Religious Life in Minsk Region in 1918-1941” and a commemorative book “We Will Remember Them By Name…” about the patriots who provided medical assistance to partisan fighters in Minsk Region in the Second World War.

The presentation included an exhibition of documents “The Religious Life in Minsk Region in 1918-1941” prepared by the Archive’s staff together with the employees of the Central Academic Yakub Kolas Library, the Department of Rare Books and Manuscripts.

Among the speakers at the presentation were Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry V. Adamushko, Director of the State Archives of Minsk Region Yu. Romashko, Professor of the Department of Church History of Minsk Ecclesiastical Academy, Associate Professor of the Belarusian State University V. Teplova, Head of the Department of Church History of Minsk Ecclesiastical Academy A. Slesarev, Deputy Director of the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War A. Galinskaya etc.

On behalf of the Muslim religious community in the Republic of Belarus the presentation was attended by Mufti Abu-Bekir Shabanovich.
