Delegation of Lithuanian archivists visits the Republic of Belarus

On 26-28 August the delegation of Lithuanian archivists visits the Republic of Belarus. The delegation includes Mr Ramojus Kraujelis, Chief Archivist of Lithuania, Mr Dalius Žižys, Director of the Lithuanian Central State Archives and Mrs Virginija Čijunskienė, Director of the Lithuanian State Historical Archives.

On 26 August the Lithuanian delegation had a meeting with the Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry of the Republic of Belarus Mr V. Adamushko.

The leaders of the archive services of Belarus and Lithuania informed each other on the general state of archive business in two countries, discussed issues of cooperation between the state archival institutions in Belarus and Lithuania.

Participants at the meeting were the Deputy Director of the Belarusian Department for Archives and Records Management O. Ledovskaya and the Chief of the Department’s Information and Records Use Division G. Zholnerkevich.

During the visit the Lithuanian archivists will acquaint with the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Local State Archives in Molodechno.
