Collection of documents Foreign Nationals in Belarus Late 18th to Early 20th Centuries presented to public at the National Historical Archives of Belarus

A new edition of collected documents entitled The Foreign Nationals in Belarus, Late 18th to Early 20th Centuries was presented to the public at the National Historical Archives of Belarus on 28 September 2012.

The compiler of the book, leading researcher Irina L. Verner told the participants about the preparation of the book, the types of archive records containing information on the foreigners, and the most interesting facts about the residence of the foreign nationals in Belarus.

The participants at the event included the archive authorities and renowned historians specializing in the topic. Among the speakers were the director at the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Republic of Belarus V. Adamushko, the director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus D. Yatsevich, the head of the history of Russia faculty at the Belarusian State University O. Yanovsky, the head of the archive publications at the Belarusian Research Institute of Records and Archival Science V. Pozdnyakov etc. Among the participants were the representatives of the Belarusian Research Center of Electronic Records, the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the mass media.

An exposition of the original copies of the most interesting records published in the book were exhibited in the reading room of the Archives.
