Correspondents from the ONT TV channel visited the National Historical Archives of Belarus

On October 6, 2026 — Archivist’s Day — correspondents from the ONT TV channel visited the National Historical Archives of Belarus.

Deputy Director Sergei Ryndin gave an interview to the journalists, discussing the institution’s history, the composition of its holdings (spanning the period from the late 14th to the early 20th century), and key areas of current operations. The guests were shown invaluable materials from the National Archival Fonds, including the oldest parchment document, dated June 20, 1391. The film crew also toured the reading rooms and the digitization department, where hundreds of thousands of pages of frequently requested documents are converted into digital format each year.
