On September 23–24, 2026, the state institution «Central Laboratory for Document Preservation of the National Archival Fonds of the Republic of Belarus» hosted a series of events dedicated to workplace safety and general safety practices.
In the run-up to the event, an information board was set up in a prominent location for staff, displaying materials on fire evacuation drills and emergency response procedures. A fire brigade drill was also conducted.
At a general staff meeting, Laboratory Director S.I.Mezga outlined the objectives of the «Unified Safety Day». Chief Engineer V.A.Vitushko briefed employees on the procedures for fire evacuations, emergency responses, and first aid administration. Participants watched educational videos produced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations covering evacuation protocols for administrative buildings and shopping centers, as well as the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Laboratory staff participated in a practical drill on emergency response actions, including a fire evacuation exercise.
Additionally, inspections were carried out on the condition of primary fire-extinguishing equipment, the availability and state of personal protective equipment and other civil defense gear, and the maintenance of occupational health and safety briefing logs.
