The Theme of National Unity in Archival Documents: Representatives of the Zonal State Archive in Molodechno Conduct a Unified Thematic Lesson

As part of the National Unity Day celebrations and the «Archives for Schools» initiative, staff from the Zonal State Archive in Molodechno served as speakers for a unified thematic lesson at Secondary School No.9 in Molodechno.

The session focused on the historical significance of the holiday, which commemorates the events of September 17, 1939. Archivists showed the students how the reunification of Belarusian lands is reflected in authentic documents from the institution’s collections. The meeting concluded with a film screening: students watched the documentary «Independence Day: A Chronicle of Belarusian Statehood», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents (BGAKFFD).

«Such lessons are a vital part of our work in patriotic education», the archivists emphasized. «By immersing schoolchildren in authentic history through documents, we help them realize their connection to the nation’s great past and understand the value of unity and historical memory».
