Visit to a New Exhibition at the Art Museum

On September 16, 2026, staff members of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter BGAMLI) visited the exhibition «Selected Works: Painting, Graphic Art, and Sculpture from the Collections of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus». The exhibition marks the opening (presentation) of Exhibition Building No.2, which recently became part of the art museum. The archivists viewed the works on display, which were created between the 1960s and the 2020s and reflect various stages in the development of Belarusian art. Featured paintings include «Self-Portrait» by G.Skripnichenko, «Nastenka» by L.Shchemelev, «Physicist-Lyricist» by M.Rogalevich, «Journey to Pripyat» by P.Drachev, «Cityscape» by A.Zhdanov, «Autobiographical» by A.Kashkurevich, «Sunny Still Life» by M.Isayonok, «Aspiration» by V.Chukin, «Prayer» by M.Basov, «Surface 162» by I.Kashkurevich, «Red Head» by D.Lavrentyev, «Y.Kupala’s House in Vyazynka» and «Memory of Y.Kolas» by A.Kanfer, among many others. In this multifunctional cultural space—long familiar to city residents—paintings and graphic works are complemented by three-dimensional sculptures and other imagery.

The archivists of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art are ready to participate professionally in future joint projects with the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, including those held in this newly opened city cultural space.
