Tour of the literary and documentary exhibition «Walking Toward Poetry…» at BGAMLI
On September 9, 2026, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) organized a tour of the literary and documentary exhibition «Walking Toward Poetry…» («Іду да вершаў пешшу…»), dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the poet and public figure Gennady Nikolaevich Buravkin. The visitors were, as is customary, a group from the Social Service Center of the Zavodskoy District of Minsk. During the tour, the audience recalled songs familiar to many featuring lyrics by G. Buravkin, such as «Malitva» (Prayer), «Kalykhanka» (Lullaby), «Zacharovanaya» (Enchanted), «Zavirukha» (Blizzard), «Matyli» (Butterflies), and others. In this context, Lead Archivist N.A.Mizon highlighted the theme of musical collaboration, focusing on documents evidencing the poet’s friendships with composers, conductors, and performers—including I.Luchenok, E.Khanok, V.Vuyachich, V.Rovda, and many others.
The visitors were also interested in the topic of children’s literature and the related documents on display: fairy tales and stories written by the poet in the 1970s, children’s poems created in 2013, photographs of G.Buravkin with his own children and grandchildren, and more. The visitors examined the documents closely and asked numerous follow-up questions.
