A delegation from the «Uzarchive» Agency visited the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Affairs
On September 8, 2026, a delegation from the «Uzarchive» Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Affairs (BelNIIDAD). The delegation included the Agency’s Director, Ulugbek Mirtalibovich Yusupov (who led the visit); Dilrabo Saidullayevna Dadayeva, Chief Specialist for International Relations at the Agency; and Iroda Tokhirovna Tokhtayeva, Head of the Tashkent City Territorial Department for Archival Affairs. The foreign colleagues were accompanied by Oleg Leonidovich Voinov, Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
During the visit, the guests toured the archival storage facilities, the archival document digitization department, and the reading rooms. The representatives from Uzbekistan familiarized themselves in detail with the history and core activities of the National Historical Archives of Belarus and BelNIIDAD, the climate control systems, and the conditions established to ensure document preservation. The guests also toured the archive premises. Sergei Nikolaevich Ryndin, Deputy Director of the archive, showed the delegation archival documents designated as unique, as well as publications issued by the National Historical Archives of Belarus. At the conclusion of the visit, the guests were presented with commemorative gifts: collections of photographic documents regarding the history of educational institutions in Minsk and publications from BelNIIDAD.
