Knowledge Day at Secondary School No.45 in Mogilev

On September 1, as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign, representatives of the State Archives of the Mogilev Region visited Secondary School No.45 in Mogilev and took part in the opening ceremony of the new school year.

During a joint lesson for 8th-grade students on the topic «Knowledge Today – Strength and Prosperity of Belarus Tomorrow!», Alexey Shvyryov, a first-category archivist in the Department of Scientific Use and Publication of Documents, spoke about the history of the archival institution, the conditions, and the composition of the documents stored there.

The students were then shown the documentary «Independence Day: A Chronicle of Belarusian Statehood», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents. The film is a large-scale film reflecting key milestones in the history of the Belarusian people throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries.
