EVERY FRIDAY IS HOME: Young archivists from Molodechno prepared a special edition of a media project about the history of a local musical instrument factory
As part of a national initiative of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus, young archivists from Molodechno prepared a special edition of the media project «Archival Bulletin» dedicated to the history of the Molodechno Musical Instrument Factory.
The hosts of the «Young Archivist» project were Polina Prostakova and Alexandra Ustyantseva, students from Molodechno Secondary School No.9. The girls delved into archival documents from the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno to tell the story of the enterprise that brought music to the entire country from the 1950s to 2006. This issue explores the history of the factory’s founding, its triumphs, and legendary production models: the «Belarus» button accordions and «Malysh» children’s accordions, which were owned by hundreds of thousands of Soviet children.
«Archive Herald» is a media project that showcases not only people but also documents, helping the younger generation better understand their history and preserve the cultural heritage of their native land.
