Film Lecture at the Rechitsa Agricultural College

As part of the «Archives for School» campaign, a film lecture was held in Dormitory No.3 of the Rechitsa State Agricultural College. Archivists from the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa briefed students on the events that took place in the Brest Fortress in June-July 1941. This was followed by a screening of the documentary «Hero Fortress», prepared by the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Audio Archives based on the newsreel footage it holds. The film covers the defense of the Brest Fortress, the unveiling of the «Brest Hero Fortress» memorial, and captures the courage and heroism of the citadel’s defenders, who fulfilled their military duty to the end in the fight against the Nazi invaders.
