A Tour Without Frills

A tour for representatives of the Mogilev Regional Organization of the Belarusian Society of the Deaf was held at the State Archives of the Mogilev Region.

Participants saw how archival documents are stored and used. The banner exhibition «Looking Back to the Past Again» and the document digitization process generated particular interest and lively discussion among the participants.

A professional sign language interpreter helped guests watch the documentary film «Hero Fortress».

Conducting such inclusive tours is an important step toward making the archive more accessible to all categories of citizens. This allows people with hearing impairments to experience history on an equal basis with other archive users and visitors.
