Film Lecture by Staff of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents at the Dzerzhinsky Center for Tourism and Local History
On June 15, 2026, as part of Open Day and International Archives Day, staff of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents held a film lecture for summer campers at the Dzerzhinsky Center for Tourism and Local History.
Victoria Nikolaevna Matveeva, Lead Archivist of the Document and Information Management Department, spoke to the Center’s students about the archive’s main work and modern approaches to popularizing archival documents. The children were shown samples of archival document media.
The event concluded with a screening of the documentary «Chernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy», produced as part of the Open Film Archive project. The film was produced by staff of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents and the Department of Archives and Records Management.
