Childhood and Motherhood Celebration at the State Archives of the Minsk Region

June 1st is International Children’s Day. Established in 1949, this holiday reminds us that childhood should be safe, joyful, and filled with care.

Large families receive special attention in Belarus: today, one in four children is raised in such families.

In honor of International Children’s Day, the trade union of the State Archives of the Minsk Region prepared a pleasant surprise for the large families of the institution’s employees. T.O.Sachek, Chair of the primary trade union organization of the State Archives, presented the mothers with invitations to the Minsk Zoo for them and their children.

This gift will allow families to plan a vacation together and spend a bright summer day together.

After all, Children’s Day is not only a holiday but also a reminder to adults: a happy childhood is built on a reliable home front, caring family and the state, and the simple human warmth that every child should be surrounded with.
