Work on the «Remember to Live» and «Young Archivist» projects continues…
As part of the «Remember to Live» project, students from the «Worthy of Memory…» historical and patriotic club at M.S.Grinevich Secondary School No.14 in Polotsk, along with a group of students from Polotsk Secondary School No.2, visited the Zonal State Archives in Polotsk. This visit was more than just an educational excursion; it was an important event for expanding their knowledge and refining their historical perception.
The visit to the archive provided a unique opportunity to delve into the depths of the past and examine archival documents detailing the genocide of the Belarusian people in the Polotsk region. For the students, this was not only an introduction to historical facts but also a lesson in remembrance, a reminder of the importance of preserving historical truth. Moreover, the trip to the archive helped acquire a valuable document management skill—the ability to handle information intelligently and accurately, which is essential not only for research but also for developing general information literacy.
