On May 15, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» project, staff from the Zonal State Archives in Slutsk held a lesson on «History in Documents» for students in grades 4A and 4B of Slutsk Secondary School No.2

On May 15, 2026, staff from the Zonal State Archives in Slutsk held a lesson on «History in Documents» for students in grades 4A and 4B of Slutsk Secondary School No.2. The lesson included a screening of the documentary film «Hero Fortress», prepared for the 85th anniversary of the defense of the Brest Fortress by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents with the support of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

Before the exhibition, L.N.Patskevich, Head of the Document Use and Publication Department, told the students about the history of the defense of the Brest Fortress and the heroism of the Soviet soldiers who bore the brunt of the Nazi invaders.

The event was complemented by a presentation of a banner exhibition prepared by the State Archives staff: «The Names of Heroes in Slutsk Street Names» and «Archive Documents Testify».

Following the event, the students were given a tour of the archives, visiting the archival storage facility and learning about the document storage conditions.
