On May 13, 2026, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» project, a workshop was held at the Vitebsk Region State Archives for students of the P.M.Masherov Vitebsk State University

During the workshops, students majoring in «History Education» learned about the history of archival work in Belarus, the main tasks and areas of work of a modern archive, gained an understanding of the organization of archival research in the archive’s reading room, and learned the basic methods of searching for information about relatives using archival documents. During the event, the students visited a poster exhibition of documents «Vitebsk Weavers and Embroiderers», and a guided tour allowed them to visit the archives of the former party archive.
