The Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive participated in events commemorating Victory Day and the Day of the National Flag, National Emblem, and National Anthem
Employees of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive participated in celebrations marking the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. District administration, representatives of work collectives and public associations, and school students participated in the «Memory Code» rally held at the Bratskoye Cemetery in Dzerzhinsk.
Andrei Nikolaevich Gonchar, Director of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive, spoke at the First Information TV channel’s mobile studio on Victory Square on May 9, discussing the documents on the Great Patriotic War held in the archive’s collections and the efforts the archive is making to popularize them, preserve historical memory, and instill patriotic education in the younger generation.
On May 10, the Day of the National Flag, National Emblem, and National Anthem, BGAKFFD employees, as part of a delegation from the Dzerzhinsky District, took part in a ceremony honoring the national symbols of Belarus. A column carrying a 100-meter-long flag proceeded along the central alley to the foot of the Mound of Glory. The event concluded with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.
