The Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa participated in the Victory Day celebrations
On May 9, 2026, as part of the celebrations held to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the Soviet people’s victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa organized and held an exhibition of documents from the archive’s collections on the topic of the war, entitled «We Are Loyal to This Memory». Letters from the Great Patriotic War and documents from the personal collection of military pilot and Hero of the Soviet Union Dmitry Danilovich Valentik, whose name is given to a street in Rechitsa, were on display. Citizens eagerly examined the archival documents, asked the archivists questions, and some shared stories about their relatives who fought in the war.
