The National Historical Archives of Belarus held a ceremonial meeting to mark Victory Day and the Day of State Symbols

On May 8, 2026, in anticipation of the great holiday — Victory Daythe National Historical Archives of Belarus held a ceremonial meeting of its staff.

Deputy Director of the Archives, Natalia Buloichik, addressed the staff with a welcoming speech. She congratulated them on the upcoming holiday, emphasizing that today, more than ever, every person’s contribution to preserving peace and passing on true values to future generations is crucial.

Special attention was paid to the upcoming national holiday — the Day of the State Flag, State Emblem, and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus (celebrated on the second Sunday in May). Natalia Buloichik noted that our national symbols unite the people in their quest for creativity and independence and embody the country’s sovereignty, unity, and rich cultural heritage. As part of the event, employees watched a documentary from the «Creating Belarus» series, «Flag, Coat of Arms, Anthem – National Symbols of Belarus». The film explored the history of the development of modern symbols, the significance of each element of the coat of arms and flag, and the role of the anthem in society.
