The Krichev Zonal State Archives Institution held events as part of the republican «Archives for School» campaign

On May 7, 2026, as part of the republican «Archives for School» campaign, the «Young Archivist» pilot project, and the organization of a film lecture series at the City Library No.1 branch, Victoria Kondratenko, lead archivist at the Krichev Zonal State Archives Institution, held a memory lesson for 7th-grade students of Secondary School No.1 entitled «Victory, in Everyone’s Heart!».

Library staff, together with the lead archivist, acting as guardians of historical memory, led the students through the key stages of the Great Patriotic War, beginning with the enemy’s first strike on June 22, 1941, and ending with the victorious May of 1945. Particular attention was paid to the military events that took place in the city of Krichev and the Krichev District. The event included a presentation titled «Know to Honor and Remember» and a screening of the film «Hero Fortress», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.

The children also enjoyed a poster exhibition titled «In Book Memory – Moments of War».
