BGAMLI at BSUKI

On May 7, 2026, Dmitry Sergeevich Samokhvalov, Leading Researcher in the Department of Information, Publication, and Document Use at the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI), and Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Lukina, Leading Archivist in the Department of Information and Retrieval Systems at the Archives-Museum, gave a lecture to students of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. They included a screening of the film «Hero Fortress», produced by the Belarusian State Archives of Cinematographic and Photographic Documents with the participation of the Department of Archives and Documentation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, and a virtual exhibition, «War Passed Through Their Hearts», created using documents from the BGAMLI archival collections. The event was held as part of the «Archives for School» campaign.

D.S.Samokhvalov spoke about representatives of Belarusian culture, participants in the Great Patriotic War, and the heroic deeds of the soldiers of the Brest Fortress. The film and exhibition sparked genuine interest among the students. At the end of the meeting, D.S.Samokhvalov answered questions about the work of Belarusian archives to preserve the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War.
