On April 29, 2026, staff from the Pinsk Zonal State Archives held a lecture on the topic «The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Accident» as part of the «Young Archivist» campaign for 7th-grade students from Pinsk Secondary School No.1

The archivists told the students about the scale of the man-made disaster, the heroic efforts of the liquidators, and the consequences of the accident for Belarus. The students also viewed documents from an exhibition dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.

Following the meeting, the students were shown the documentary video «Chernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.
