Footage that Remembers: Screenings of the Film «Chernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy» Held in the Molodechno District

The Molodechno Regional State Archives, together with the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Molodechno District Executive Committee, organized a series of screenings of the documentary film «Chernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy». The archivists’ initiative, which received prompt support from colleagues in the ideological service, made it possible to bring the film to a broad regional audience and create a unified information and educational platform. Screenings were held at educational institutions, industrial enterprises, and construction companies.

Despite the abundance of modern publications about the Chernobyl disaster, the authentic archival footage selected from the collections of the Belarusian State Film and Photo Archive is particularly authentic and emotionally profound. Discussions about the film often continued after the screenings, demonstrating the high public demand for such projects.
