«Youth Capital 2026»: An archivist from the ZGA in Molodechno participated in the national project
On March 26, the Minsk Youth House hosted the grand opening of the national project «Minsk – Youth Capital 2026», marking the city’s awarding of the honorary title. The event included various sections, meetings with government officials, dialogue platforms, sightseeing tours, and more.
Maria Mechkovskaya, an archivist from the Document Use and Publication Department, represented the Molodechno District and participated in the project’s grand opening as part of the Minsk Region delegation. She also participated in the dialogue platform «Information Circuit: New Meanings and Digital Trust» at Stolichnoe Television, where information security issues and methods for protecting against online threats were discussed. Participants also learned about the channel’s operations, the intricacies of creating media content, and details of future projects.
The delegation also took part in the cultural and entertainment show «In the Rhythm of the Capital» and a community exercise program at the Dinamo National Olympic Stadium.
A special highlight was a meeting with Natalia Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, as part of the «Conversation on Equal Terms» project. The discussion focused on patriotic education, inclusion, support for working youth, and other topics. At the end of the meeting, Natalia Kochanova wished the young people to cherish the country, appreciate the legacy of older generations, and wish them personal happiness and inspiration.
«This is a unique experience», shared Maria Mechkovskaya. «I am sincerely grateful to the event organizers for the opportunity to participate not just in a national project, but in a historic event—the laying of a time capsule with a message to future generations, and a meeting with important government figures who shape our present!»
