The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus presented a documentary exhibition, «The Constitution – the Foundation of the Legal System»
On March 13, 2026, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus opened a documentary exhibition, «The Constitution – the Foundation of the Legal System». Developed by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB), it was timed to coincide with Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus.
Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus is a national holiday with its own history. The Constitution of the Republic of Belarus is the country’s Fundamental Law, possessing the highest legal force. Our country lives by the updated Fundamental Law, for which the majority of our citizens voted in the referendum on February 27, 2022, thereby confirming the cohesion and unity of the Belarusian people and laying the foundation for the future progressive development and prosperity of our state.
The NARB presented copies of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus from various years at the exhibition; the Law of the Republic of Belarus of March 15, 1994 «On the Procedure for the Entry into Force of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus»; minutes of meetings of the working group of the Constitutional Commission of the Supreme Council of the BSSR; Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus «On Holding a Republican Referendum in the Republic of Belarus and Measures to Ensure It»; minutes of the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus for Elections and Holding Republican Referendums, and other documents.
A tour of the exhibition for employees of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus was led by V.G.Mazets, PhD in History and a leading researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus. In anticipation of Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus, military personnel from the Polotsk Border Detachment also toured the exhibition.
