«Young Archivist», a master class on document restoration and repair at the Zonal State Archives in Orsha

On March 9, 2026, as part of the «Young Archivist» pilot project, N.V.Gerasyuto, custodian of the Document Preservation Department at the State Archives in Orsha, conducted a master class on document restoration and repair for 8th-grade «B» students at Secondary School No.8 in Orsha.

During the thematic lesson, the students visited one of the archival repositories, learned about the storage conditions for archival documents, and learned about the specifics of archival file placement. They asked questions about the archivist profession and practiced their acquired document restoration and repair skills.
