The virtual exhibition «Light of the Female Soul» on the Belarusian State Archive and Museum of Literature and Art website
The virtual exhibition «Light of the Female Soul» is dedicated to International Women’s Day and the Year of Belarusian Women (2026).
The exhibition features portraits of outstanding representatives of culture, art, and literature, whose names have become the true pride of our country. Each image captured in the photographs conveys the external beauty of these creative women, revealing their profound inner world and talent. The portraits are part of the rich personal collections carefully preserved at the Belarusian State Archive and Museum of Literature and Art as a valuable heritage of the Belarusian people. The thoughts and feelings associated with both a specific period in their personal lives and the cultural and historical events surrounding them are subtly present in the gazes of Aloiza Pashkevich, Larisa Aleksandrovskaya, Stefania Stanyuta, Lidiya Arabey, and other celebrated women. The exhibition invites us to reflect on the dedication of women who dedicated their lives to cultural development: literature, theater, music, and public service.
Female talent and spiritual strength are an important factor in Belarusian culture. By exploring the work of poets, writers, actresses, ballerinas, and artists through archival documents, we not only honor the memory of these outstanding figures but also find inspiration in their legacy for ourselves and future generations.
