Pre-holiday tour at the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art
On the eve of International Women’s Day, as part of the Year of Belarusian Women, the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art invited representatives of the Social Services Center of Minsk’s Zavodskoy District to discuss documents on display at the exhibition «Source of Inspiration – The Life of the People», dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of Belarusian national writer Ivan Pavlovich Melezh.
In connection with the upcoming holiday, a discussion was held about the love story of Ivan Melezh and his future wife, Lidiya, which began during the war. Poem manuscripts and excerpts from Ivan Pavlovich’s early works dedicated to women were read. Visitors particularly actively discussed the theme of love in the famous trilogy «The Polesie Chronicle», marveling at the subsequent fates of the characters and the development of their relationships, reflected in the writer’s plans and intentions. Similar documents are also on display at the exhibition. The representatives of the social services center were in high spirits and examined other documents from the exhibition «Source of Inspiration – The Life of the People».
