Extraordinary Reporting and Election Meeting of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus
On February 27, 2026, an extraordinary reporting and election meeting of the primary trade union organization was held at the State Institution «National Archives of the Republic of Belarus» (hereinafter referred to as NARB).
Tatyana Shevchenko, chair of the primary trade union organization, presented a report on the main areas of work and key events of the trade union committee for the period from February 16, 2024, to February 26, 2026, and a report on the implementation of the income and expenditure budget for 2024-2025.
Based on the results of the meeting, it was noted that the trade union committee pays special attention to labor safety and the protection of union members’ rights, compliance with the provisions of the collective agreement, and the organization of cultural events.
Based on the results of the vote, the work of the trade union committee for the past period was unanimously deemed satisfactory. The workforce representatives thanked Tatyana Shevchenko for her fruitful, long-standing work as head of the NARB primary trade union organization, acknowledging her personal contribution to the work of the trade union activists and her responsible approach to fulfilling her public duties.
Next, Natalia Nartovskaya, Chair of the Audit Commission, presented the report of the primary trade union organization’s audit commission for the period from February 16, 2024, to February 26, 2026.
During the meeting, elections were held for a new chair of the NARB primary trade union organization, a trade union committee, an audit commission, and its chair. As a result of the vote, Nadezhda Isaychuk was unanimously elected as chair of the primary trade union organization, and Yulia Baubyr, Maria Zhilinskaya, Olga Zhukovich, Irina Karas, and Ulyana Kolobaeva were elected as members of the trade union committee. Veronika Gunko was elected treasurer of the primary trade union organization. Dmitry Gritsovets, Natalia Nartovskaya, and Igor Trostyanko were elected to the audit committee. Natalia Nartovskaya was re-elected as chair of the audit committee.
«I am confident that the traditions of the trade union movement will remain intact», said Vladimir Zubrik, chairman of the Minsk city organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions. «More experienced colleagues will assist the new primary organization: they will teach and advise, lend a helping hand, and share secrets. After all, this is our shared contribution to the benefit of the entire workforce».
NARB Director Andrei Demyanyuk noted the productive and conscientious work of the previous trade union committee and addressed the newly elected members.
«Our primary trade union organization has 112 members», he stated. «They all know they can rely on the union on various issues, from occupational safety and health to organizing cultural and sporting events». I am confident that the new primary trade union organization will continue to support its members, helping them improve their health, gain new knowledge and skills through professional development courses, and support the initiatives and aspirations of young people. Of course, the employer and the trade union committee will continue to work to implement the provisions of the collective agreement.
During the extraordinary reporting and election meeting, the collective agreement was signed. The updated text of the agreement was made publicly available in advance. All comments and suggestions received were reviewed and taken into account. The agreement was signed by Andrey Demyanyuk and Nadezhda Isaychuk.
